i'm there again: all of my favorite music is so loaded with memories that i can't listen without entertaining random and uninvited ghosts. do you know this feeling? i need something new.
can you recommend something? i like all kinds.
thank you. Little is saying, "Enough, Mom. That's enough," which is my cue to get off the computer.

Nevershoutnever - "Happy". For the moments you need a lift or just feel like dancing. (courtesy of Lakin)
Sorry, that would be Never Shout Never. Three words.
oh, we liked that! you should have seen the girls dancing. lots of hip swaying and smiling.
E: Peter's done eating Mom
M: He just started honey
E: But he told me, he's done and wants you to come help me
Love how smart these kids are and how they use us against ourselves!
We listen to oldies a lot. American Pie, Brown Eyed Girl, or find the soundtrack to That Thing You Do, all fun songs!
Oh, and your Dad has me hooked on Pink Martini
I like the soundtrack to Invictus. It's pretty mellow though, in case you're looking for upbeat.
i like eleni mandell, emiliana torrini and viena tang. all pretty mellow
Mellow schmellow.
The White Stripes, The Raconteurs or The Dead Weather. (Pretty much anything Jack White's got his finger on. Start with TWS's album De Stijl.)
Go get yer blues on at O hi O
Music history...

my ghosts...not yours
might be too mainstream but trains "soul sister" is good for danceability :)
Oh yes, every playing of the ipod is a walk down memory lane. I'm always reluctant to let new songs into the library of my life.
However, I do have a soft spot for Green Days "21 Guns". Definite dance-ability.
