shawnie, our camera is a sony alpha 350 and we like it a lot. we got it about 1/2 price when circuit city went out of biz. but a lot of people i know prefer the nikon or canon rebel SLR cameras. all three are good all-purpose shooters.
i still have a lot to learn about mine and i could point you to all the blogs i stalk for inspiration, but i won't because then you'll stop thinking mine are anything special. ;-) i'm still trying to figure out "how do they DO that?!"
