bim introduced us to a Danish solstice tradition: burning witches! yes, it is pretty much as creepy uncomfortable as it sounds. also, kind of fun.

first, lauren and i went on a witch hunt to find a suitable effigy. we found her at our first stop, pink plum antiques.

when the ritual dancing was over and the pyre was smoldering embers, Little asked if we could burn some more witches. i told her to ask her preschool teacher.

not really, but i should have.

So why do they burn witches? That is too creepy! Looks like loads of fun though :)
One of the best posts I have ever seen on any topic ever.
