"rain in january"

I woke before dawn, still
in a body. Water ran
down every window, and rushed
from the eaves.

Beneath the empty feeder
a skunk was prowling for suet
or seed. The lamps flickered off
and then came on again.

Smoke from the chimney
could not rise. It came down
into the yard, and brooded there
on the unlikelihood of reaching

heaven. When my arm slipped
from the arm of the chair
I let it hang beside me, pale,
useless, and strange.

What adorable kids.

I can't remember if I told you about my curly hair bible. I wrote a whole post about it. There's a chapter about little kids with curly hair too.

That's not to say that Little's hair isn't adorable. It's crazy adorable. But, if it's giving you trouble, the book is really helpful.

Did you make the little skirt Ally has on? So cute! And could these girls be any cuter? When are you coming to visit again? :)

I didn't tell too many people about the blog. I'm a bit boring. But, if you like boring, I'm your girl!

let the boring begin! but probably you only think of yourself as boring because you know everything about you. i, on the other hand, enjoy learning more about you because i think you are great.

Girl, you are becoming a picture taker extraordinaire! (sp?) It's rainin' up north too. So far I like it but it could get old fast.

Yeah for boring! Mostly I'm boring 'cause I don't do fun stuff. School, internship, study. Repeat. Good times.
